The East Bay Regional Park District (“Park District”) reports biennially on its workforce profile in accordance with the federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (“EEOC”) regulations and annually to the Park District’s AFSCME Local 2428 Workforce Diversity Committee as set forth in the operable Memorandum of Understanding (“MOU”).

In accordance with the East Bay Regional Park District (Park District) and AFSCME Local 2428 (AFSCME) operable Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), Articles 5.4(b) and 5.5, please let this serve as official notice to the Union that the Park District intends to make several personnel changes in the 2026 budget, including a District-wide reorganization that impacts certain AFSCME incumbents.

Fire season is here and the fire department is closed at night, because the Park District does not have a 24/7 staffing model.
Your AFSCME Negotiations Team has wrapped up bargaining with the District for temporary and seasonal employee rights. A ratification vote is scheduled for Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at Las Trampas Wilderness Regional Preserve in the Service Yard.
Your Memorandum of Understanding was distributed in October 2024. If you have not received a copy please email eboard@afscme2428.org.
